• Novice Tactics for Double-Hand Poker

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the west in an excellent game for starting gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player vs. the house, unlike almost all other poker games that gamblers bet with other gamblers. By competing against the dealer, beginning players don’t need to fret about other, more skillful people winning their money.

One more Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game pace, newcomers should be able to take their time and strategize while not needing to make frenzied selections.

It’s also simpler to bet on for a long time with basically a small bit of money after all, to lose, both of your hands needs to be lower than each of the dealer’s hands.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the regular 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards faces showing and the croupier gets seven cards face down.

A 5 card hand and one two card hand must be made from the 7 cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the two card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
